1999 Perennial Plant of the Year

Very long flowering. Compact plants with golden-yellow flowers with a raised, dark brown center. Great cut flower. Good butterfly plant. Excellent form. Wonderful companion to a variety of ornamental grasses. Very nice combined with rosy-purple Liatris. Easy to grow in sun to partial shade in ordinary garden soil. Dependable and long lived. 18-24" tall.
