This new introduction is both male and female which means you only need one plant to bear fruit -- and it's fruit production is fantastic -- the berries are twice the size of the species. Vigorous, exceptionally hardy and adapts to a wide range of soil and light conditions. This vigorous, twining vine has shiny, dark-green foliage with tiny yellow-white flowers in the spring. The amazing berries follow in late summer, fall and persist throughout the winter. This twining, twisting vine will form a very dense canopy making it an excellent choice for an arbour or pergola. Birds love this vine -- for cover, for a nesting site and also for the berries. It is very easy to grow in sun or shade and will be very drought tolerant once it is established. Prune as required.
