Sharp Lobed Hepatica
Zone 4 - 8
Low growing native plant with leathery, semi-evergreen, tri-lobed, pointed foliage often with distinct markings. Pink, white or lavender anemone-like flowers held on wiry stalks emerge before the foliage. Blooms in early to mid spring. This is a woodland plant happiest in part to full shade in humusy, well-drained soil. Keep it out of the hot afternoon sun. Clump-forming and slow to spread however will naturalize in a woodland setting. Leaves turn a russet colour in the fall. HEIGHT: 15-20 cm SPREAD: 20-25 cm
