Wonderful architectural plant. Highly ornamental, dark burgundy to near black foliage which becomes darker as the season progresses. Large, bright pink, flower clusters in June are lemon-scented. Beautiful contrasting colours. Blooms are followed by purple-black berries in July which are loved by birds. Best grown in sun to partial shade in moist well drained soil. Plant will become more drought tolerant as it ages. Prune hard in the early years to promote strong, bushy growth. Excellent upright form. HEIGHT: 175-200 cm SPREAD: 100-125 cm
