This native is the national tree of Canada and its leaf shape can be found on the Canadian flag. Will become a large, upright specimen with a dense spreading canopy of lush green foliage. A beautiful shade tree with awesome fall colour turning first yellow, then brilliant orange or red. Produces the sweetest sap of all the maples and is the mainstay for maple syrup production. Slow growing and best in full sun and average to moist, well-drained soil. HEIGHT: 25-30 m SPREAD: 15-18 m
