Variegated Hardy Kiwi
Vigorous vine with showy bright green leaves splashed with pink and white at the tips. Produces fragrant white flowers in late June to early July. Actinidia kolomikta are either male or female. To produce fruit both forms are required. One male can pollinate up to 4 females. Produces edible fruits in October. In shorter growing seasons, pick the fruit before it ripens and place in a paper bag with apples and pears to speed ripening.
Best grown in moist to average well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Too much shade may prevent foliage variegation. Prune late in the fall to shape and control size. Needs sturdy support. HEIGHT: 4-6 m SPREAD: 3 m
