‘Forescate' is taller and more vigorous than the species. Produces deep-pink to purple sphere-shaped flowers in late spring to early summer. Both the leaves and the flowers are edible. Dependable and very drought tolerant plant easily grown in full sun but also tolerant of shadier sites. Freely self-seeds. Prune spent flowers back to promote fresh growth and contain seeding. A fun plant if you are gardening with childern. Can be grown throughout most of Canada. HEIGHT: 25-30 cm SPREAD: 35-40 cm
