Rising Star' is shorter and more vigorous than the species, producing large, lavender ball-shaped flowers in late spring to early summer. It has attractive, finely textured, grey-green, grass-like foliage. Both the leaves and the flowers are edible. Dependable and very drought tolerant plant easily grown in full sun but also tolerant of shadier sites. Freely self-seeds. Prune spent flowers back to promote fresh growth and contain seeding. A fun plant if you are gardening with childern. HEIGHT: 25-30 cm SPREAD: 35-40 cm
