Forms an interesting clump of blue-grey foliage that grows in a spiral fashion. Produces short stems of lilac-pink, globe-shaped flowers from late summer to early fall. Suitable for containers, rock gardens and borders. This is an interesting, fun plant which is also an excellent choice for a child's garden. It is a highly dependable and very drought tolerant plant. Prune back spent flowers to promote fresh growth. Prefers full sun but is also tolerant of shadier spots. This Allium species does not self-seed but divides easily in spring or fall.
