This exciting new introduction from Proven Winners will provide 3 season garden interest. In the spring the new emerging stems are black and will remain dark through to late spring. The leaves are very dark green accented by silver veins. From late spring until early summer the plant is completely covered with clusters of blue, star-like flowers. Ornamental green seed pods follow the flower and finally the willow-like foliage turns golden yellow in the fall. The plant has a sturdy, upright form.
Easy to grow in full sun to partial shade, in average to moist, well-drained soil. Tolerant of heat and humidity. Not bothered by disease or insects and deer resistant. A beautiful low maintenance ornamental.
