Adorable, tough plant that will tolerate hot sunny locations and poor, dry soil. Forms a dense, flat carpet of felty, silver-grey foliage set with short stalks bearing cherry-red blooms that resemble pussy toes. (Really -- its true!) Shear back after flowering to keep the plant tidy. Great in and around flagstone. Will tolerate light foot traffic. Can be used as a slow-spreading groundcover. Very drought tolerant once established but hates soggy locations and winter wet. HEIGHT: 5-12 cm SPREAD: 15-30 cm
Grown in a 9 cm pot.
