Compact, well-behaved perennial which produces a grass-like mound of deep green foliage set with rosy-red, rounded flowerheads held on tall, stiff, wiry stems in mid-summer. A good subject for the rock garden or in a container. Long flowering and the foliage is always attractive. This is a good hummingbird and butterfly perennial. Best grown in full sun or light shade in dryish soil. HEIGHT: 10-15 cm SPREAD: 15-30 cm
