It has an en excellent, mounding form and is smothered with dainty white flowers in the spring. In the fall the foliage turns brilliant red. Dark blue berries provide dramatic contrast to the foliage. A very hardy shrub it tolerates a variety of growing conditions. Grow it in sun to partial shade in wet or dry soils. Once established it is drought and heat tolerant and even salt tolerant. Very easy care. If you want to prune do it immediately after it has flowered otherwise no pruning is necessary.
