Add a few asparagus plants to your perennial border to create interesting texture. This is a new improved cultivar with bigger and more plentiful spears than older varieties. It is a heavy producer of tall delicious tender shots. Asparagus is best grown in a sunny location with well-drained deep soil. Allow the plants to develop 2-3 years before harvesting. Top dress with compost every year. Easy to grow. Bred by the University of Guelph at their Simcoe facility. HEIGHT: 125-150 cm SPREAD: 45-50 cm
