Blue Wood Aster

The Blue Wood Aster is native to Ontario frequently found in deciduous woodlands. It forms a bushy mound with heart-shaped leaves close to the ground and upright, well-branched stalks bearing a profusion of small light blue, daisy-like flowers with a golden yellow center from late summer into the fall. It is easily grown in light shade to partial sun in moist to dry, well drained soil. Loved by bees and butterflies. Note: Size of the plant will vary depending on fertility of the soil. HEIGHT: 50-60 cm SPREAD: 60-80 cm
