Gorgeous colour combinations! Deep red stalks and stems are vivid accents to the unique, dark purple-bronze, chocolate foliage which is set with masses of pink flower spikes in late summer. This plant will really pop in your shade garden. It is the darkest foliage Astilbe currently on the market and will retain it's chocolate colour all season provided it is in the shade. Best grown in part to full shade in moist, fertile, well-drained soil.
