Heartleaf Bergenia

Dark green, leathery foliage with a crinkled edge -- turns copper-red as the season cools in the fall. Produces vivid, magenta-puple flowers on thick, long stems in early spring. One of the best Bergenia for winter colour. Bergenia will tolerate a wide range of soils, lighting and moisture conditions but prefer partial sun, moist and rich humus soils. Bergenias are evergreen so only remove damaged and tattered foliage as necessary. HEIGHT: 30-45 cm SPREAD: 45-60 cm
