Deer Fern
Zone 5 - 9
Forms a low clump of leathery, deep green fronds which are narrow and stiff. Evergreen. Will tolerate full sun in wet conditions. Otherwise best grown in part to full shade. Spreads slowly by rhizomes. Blechnum grows best in rich, moist, well-drained soil, but is very adaptable to sandy soils and clay. It prefers shade to part shade but can be grown in full sun in wet conditions. Old fronds should be cut out in late winter or early spring before new growth starts. HEIGHT: 45-60 cm SPREAD: 45-60 cm
