Exotic, magenta-pink, orchid flowers rise slightly above foliage from mid-spring to early-summer. Bright green, lance-shaped, pleated leaves. Spreads via short rhizomes that develop corm-like bulbs partially below the surface. Prefers organically rich, medium moisture, well-drained soil in part shade. Keep well drained through the winter and protect from winter wet. Easy to grow but flowering can be inconsistent if it's not sited properly. May go dormant in the summer heat.
