This dainty looking, native plant is actually a tough survivor and can be found growing wild throughout most of Canada. Forms a low growing clump of heart-shaped foliage. Produces dainty, bell-shaped, light blue flowers held on fine, upright stems. Flower colour may vary from pale to dark blue and sometimes (but rarely) white. Generally flowers early to mid-summer but may also flower later in the season. Very easily grown in sun to part shade, in ordinary garden soil. HEIGHT: 30-60 cm SPREAD: 20-45 cm
