Japanese Flowering Quince

Very unusual, multi-coloured shrub. Produces masses of large pink, white-pink, white and solid red flowers all on the same branch. Blooms in early-to-mid spring. Compact, upright growth with fine-toothed, glossy, dark green leaves. Excellent vase shape. Produces green to yellow fruit which can be used in preserves and jellies. Prefers sun to partial shade. Quince tolerate many soils and conditions, including drought, but can become unkempt if not pruned regularly. Toyo Nishiki can make an interesting bonsai. HEIGHT: 100-125 cm SPREAD: 80-100 cm
