White Flowering Dogwood

A rare, small tree native to southern Ontario and considered a 'Species at Risk'. It provides 4 season interest. Lovely, upright form with tiered, horizontal branches. In the spring it is adorned with masses of very showy white bracts which surround tiny, insignificant, yellow flowers. Clusters of red fruit appear later in the season and are loved by birds. In the fall the foliage turns scarlet-red to almost pink. Happiest in partial shade or morning sun and tolerant of a wide variety of soil conditions -- moist to dry but well-drained. HEIGHT: 7-8 m SPREAD: 7-8 m
