Golden Currant

Exceptionally hardy native shrub with a dense, upright, arching form and providing garden interest throughout the year. Covered with fragrant, yellow flowers in the spring which are attractive to hummingbirds and pollinators. Froduces small yellow edible fruit which ripen to black. Leaves turn bright orange-red in the fall. Can be grown in sun or shade and tolerant of various soil situations. However does prefer fertile well-drained soil.

NOTE: Fruiting shrubs are an easy addition to your perennial border or can be grown in containers.
