New, hardier form which blooms from early summer to mid-fall. Produces masses of brilliant, magenta-red to deeper orange-red, jewel-like, starry flowers with contrasting yellow centres. This is a mat forming succulent similar to Sedum but foliage may not remain evergreen in our climate. Best in full sun, in very well-draining, sandy soil ! Protect this low-growing plant from winter wet. Very showy little plant for the rock garden, scree or container garden. Drought tolerant once established. HEIGHT: 10-15 cm SPREAD: 15-20 cm
