An interesting architectural plant with ridged, deep emerald green, hollow stems that resemble miniature bamboo. Prefers moist soil and can be grown in shallow water, 6-8 cm deep. Can also be used as a groundcover but beware -- it is a fast spreader. Best to grow it in a contained situation. Prefers part to full shade. It is tolerant of drier conditions provided it is not in full sun. Native to Ontario. HEIGHT: 60-100 cm SPREAD: 100-200 cm
