This is an exceptionally hardy shrub with very unusual blooms. Produces masses of huge white panicles in mid-to-late summer which turn deep pink as they mature. Colour change begins at the base of the panicle creating a spectacular two-tone effect of pink and white. Panicles can reach up to 40 cm in length and a mature shrub will sport dozens of these big, bicolour blooms. Truly a show stopper. Easily grown in sun to part shade. All hydrangea flowers do undergo some colour changes as they age. Also soil pH can change the flower colour of some cultivars.
