Ruby Slippers Oakleaf Hydrangea

This compact shrub produces masses of upright, cone-shaped, white flowers which quickly transform to bright pink. Flower heads fade to brown and will persist throughout the winter. Oak-shaped green leaves turn purple in the fall. Exfoliating bark provides winter interest. Blooms on old wood. Do not prune -- just remove spent flowers and damaged wood. Best grown in full sun to partial shade in rich, well-drained soil.. Great smaller size for borders or foundation plantings. HEIGHT: 80-100 cm SPREAD: 125-150 cm
