Japanese Blood Grass

Dramatic and unusual ornamental. Flat foliage emerges bright green, then quickly turns deep blood-red from tip to base. In late summer produces spikelets bearing fluffy, silver panicles which contrast beautifully with the red foliage. This grass is slow to establish and also slow to spread. Prefers full sun to light shade and moist, well-drained soil. HEIGHT: 30-50 cm SPREAD: 30-40 cm
