Large shrub bearing a profusion of pink flowers with white throats in May and June. Blooms which resemble snap-dragons hang from graceful, arching branches. Bright green foliage turns reddish in the autumn. On older branches the grey-brown bark is exfoliating, providing winter ornamentation and interest. A very easy to grow shrub that will provide 4 season interest. Will grow almost anywhere except the deepest shade. Even tolerant of dry, sandy conditions. Drought tolerant once established.
