This form of Liatris is rarely offered. It has an upright, clumping habit with fluffy, thistle-like, deep, rose-purple flowers. It is very attractive to butterflies and loved by hummingbirds. Best grown in full sun and average to dry, well-drained soil. Prefers dry, sandy or rocky soils. Will not tolerate wet sites. Tolerant of summer heat and humidity. Drought tolerant once established. HEIGHT: 50-70 cm SPREAD: 45-50 cm
