Wood Millet, Golden Grass

Vigorous, spreading grass with bold, brilliant colour. Deciduous, flat chartreuse blades arch from green stems. Producing a profusion of green flowers held on narrow panicles in late spring. This is a cool season grass which does the majority of its growing in early spring, and again when temperatures start to cool in the fall. Prefers full or partial shade, and tolerates a range of soil types. Rake in late winter/early spring to make room for new growth. Plants should be divided in spring, every few years. Self-seeds.
