Autumn Light Maiden Grass

A big, beautiful grass. Cascading, very fine, thin leaves accented with a silver mid-rib. Turns a gorgeous yellow colour in fall. This is also when it produces it's fluffy, plume-like flowers. One of the few larger Maiden Grasses that is hardy to Zone 4. HEIGHT: 150-225 cm SPREAD: 100-150cm
General Information Miscanthus
A wonderful group of grasses. Tall, bold and imposing. Will produce a showy fountain of grassy foliage set with tall, highly ornamental flower plumes later in the season. Provides outstanding architecture and colour from late summer, right through the winter. One of the best winter-interest perennials. Easily grown in sun to part shade, in moist, well drained soil. Once established quite drought tolerant. Makes a great impact as an accent specimen or in a group.
