Little Miss Maiden Grass
Zone 4
A stunning new introduction from German breeder Klaus Menzel. Excellent dwarf, compact form with an upright, arching habit. Narrow foliage emerges green in the spring and quickly begins to develop carmine and purple tones which become darker and more pronounced as the season progresses until the entire plant is transformed. Produces reddish flowerheads which turn into buff coloured seedheads. Vigorous. Great container subject. It's small size makes it very versatile. HEIGHT: 60-90 cm SPREAD: 60-90 cm
General Information Miscanthus
A wonderful group of grasses. Will produce a showy fountain of grassy foliage set with tall, highly ornamental flower plumes later in the season. Provides outstanding architecture and colour from late summer, right through the winter. One of the best winter-interest perennials. Easily grown in sun to part shade, in moist, well drained soil. Once established quite drought tolerant. Makes a great impact as an accent specimen or in a group.
