Very narrow foliage with slim bands of white on the margin. The effect from a short distance is that the plant is shimmering with silver -- caught by the morning light. Bronze-red flower spikes later in the season. Beautiful elegant grass with a tight, upright form. HEIGHT: 90-150 cm SPREAD: 80-100 cm
General Information Miscanthus
A wonderful group of grasses. Tall, bold and imposing. Will produce a showy fountain of grassy foliage set with tall, highly ornamental flower plumes later in the season. Provides outstanding architecture and colour from late summer, right through the winter. One of the best winter-interest perennials. Easily grown in sun to part shade, in moist, well drained soil. Once established quite drought tolerant. Makes a great impact as an accent specimen or in a group.
