Compact grass with strong, upright, green foliage which turns a gorgeous burnt-orange in the fall. Pink flower spikes in mid-to-late summer. Hardier than most. Love the fall colour on this grass. One of my favourites. HEIGHT: 120-150 cm SPREAD: 80-100 cm
General Information Miscanthus
A wonderful group of grasses. Tall, bold and imposing. Will produce a showy fountain of grassy foliage set with tall, highly ornamental flower plumes later in the season. Provides outstanding architecture and colour from late summer, right through the winter. One of the best winter-interest perennials. Easily grown in sun to part shade, in moist, well drained soil. Once established quite drought tolerant. Makes a great impact as an accent specimen or in a group.
