A densely-tufted, dwarf, compact grass with arching green leaves variegated with white stripes. Excellent upright form with less tendancy to flop like the older 'Variegatus'. Tiny bronze, tassel-like flowers appear in late summer on stalks rising above the foliage. These mature into silvery-white plumes. HEIGHT: 100-150 cm SPREAD: 100-125 cm
General Information Miscanthus
A wonderful group of grasses. Tall, bold and imposing. Will produce a showy fountain of grassy foliage set with tall, highly ornamental flower plumes later in the season. Provides outstanding architecture and colour from late summer, right through the winter. One of the best winter-interest perennials. Easily grown in sun to part shade, in moist, well drained soil. Once established quite drought tolerant. Makes a great impact as an accent specimen or in a group.
