Ornamental Oregano

Dwarf, mounding perennial with aromatic foliage. From mid-summer to early-fall it is covered with sprays of bright pink flowers. Large flowerheads are held well above the foliage on ridge, maroon-red stalks. Flowerbuds are dark red opening to deep pink blooms with white stamen. Profuse bloomer loved by butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Best grown in full sun and average, dryish, well-drained soil. Must have good drainage to overwinter. Protect from winter wet. Drought tolerant once established. HEIGHT: 40-60 cm SPREAD: 40-50 cm
