This native will grow into a large shade tree with a wide-spreading canopy. Deeply lobed leaves emerge pink in the spring and mature to dark green. In the fall the leaves turn golden-brown and then dark, mahogany red. Best grown in full sun and moist to dry soils. A beautiful tree grown as a specimen or used for naturalizing.
