A bushy shrub rose covered with fragrant, double, cherry-red blooms. Very long flowering from late spring until frost. Glossy, dark green foliage and thorny stems. Ornamental orange hips appear in the fall. Height: 80-100 cm Spread: 80-100 cm
Explorer Roses were originally developed at the Ottawa research stay. They are tough, hardy, low maintenance shrubs and quite disease resistant. Explorer Roses are also long flowering usually from early summer right into the fall. Best grown in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Deadhead to promote reblooming. Avoid overhead watering. Named after Canadian Explorers.
