This hardy, tough climbing rose is a profuse bloomer producing clusters of slightly fragrant, double, red-pink blooms
from late spring until frost. Arching, upright form with glossy leaves which emerge reddish and then turn dark green. Thorny stems. Ornamental orange hips appear in the fall. Height: 200-250 cm Spread: 150-175 cm
Explorer Roses were originally developed at the Ottawa research stay. They are tough, hardy, low maintenance shrubs and quite disease resistant. Explorer Roses are also long flowering usually from early summer right into the fall. Best grown in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Deadhead to promote reblooming. Avoid overhead watering. Named after Canadian Explorers.
