This dwarf, compact rose is a profuse bloomer with clusters of large, semi-double, fragrant, deep wine-red flowers from late spring until frost. Red fruit persists into the winter. Smooth, dark green leaves turn purple in the fall. A beautiful, low maintenance rose perfect for the perennial border. Excellent bushy form. Exceptionally hardy. Height: 60-80 cm Spread: 60-100 cm
This rose was developed by the Morden, Manitoba research station. It is a rose bred for the Canadian climate and named in honour of the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Red Cross. Very hardy and disease resistant. Prefers a sunny location in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Deadhead to promote prolonged flowering. Avoid overhead watering.
