Rhizomatous native woodland perennial with lovely deep green, variably lobed from heart to kidney-shaped leaves. One of the first plants to bloom in the early spring. Flowers often emerge through the unfolded leaves, forming a solitary, cup-shaped, white bloom with yellow stamens. Native to Ontario. Prefers average to moist, well-drained fertile soil in full shade to partial shade. Thrives in some sun where soils remain consistantly moist. Foliage often disappears by late summer as the plant does dormant. HEIGHT: 10-15 cm SPREAD: 20-25 cm
