Schizachyrium scoparium and its cultivars have been named the Perennial Plant of the Year 2022.
Exceptional cultivar! The entire plant is flushed with a nearly irridescent silvery purple-mauve colour throughout the summer and into the fall. In autumn the stems add more drama by turning a deep purple. Sturdy plant that maintains an excellent upright, narrowly columnar form throughout the season. Easily grown in full sun and average to dry soil. Drought tolerant once established. HEIGHT: 120-140 cm SPREAD: -50-60 cm SORRY NOT AVAILABLE THIS SEASON
