Black-leaf Stonecrop
Zone 2 - 9
Exceptionally hardy variety. This low-growing Sedum has dark purple, glossy leaves and produces rosy-pink blooms in late summer and into the fall. Lovely contrast. Easily grown in full sun and well-drained soil. The more sun this plant gets the darker will be the foliage. I saw a mass-planting of Bertram in a hot, baking, dry situation and it was stunning -- positively glowing -- and the foliage was jet black. Like all sedum, Bertram is very drought tolerant once established. HEIGHT: 15-20 cm SPREAD: 15-20 cm
