Tall, upright perennial with stiff, sturdy stalks bearing large clusters of tiny, golden yellow flowers from August to September. Velvety gray-green foliage turns dusty-rose in the fall. This native plant is loved by butterflies and pollinators. Drought tolerant once established. HEIGHT: 90-125 cm SPREAD: 60-70 cm
Goldenrod are valuble for their brillirant late season colour. They do not cause hay fever as their pollen is too heavy to be airborn -- the real culprit is ragweed which blooms at the same time.
