Spigelia is an amazing perennial. This is a new introduction from Walters Gardens Inc. Grown vegetatively it is more robust, with greater uniformity than the seed grown varieties. The blooms are astounding. Brilliant orange red, slender trumpet-shaped with a vivid yellow, star-shaped top. Compact plant with dark green foliage. Blooms almost all summer beginning towards the end of June. This form is more rounded than Little Redhead. Loved by hummingbirds. Can be grown in sun or shade in well-drained, fertile to average soil. This plant is slow to emerge in the spring. Please order early as its sure to sell out. HEIGHT: 60-70 cm SPREAD: 50-60 cm
