Japanese Toad Lily
Zone 4 - 9
An interesting plant for a shady location. On nodding stems, it displays bizarre, white, star-shaped blooms which are heavily spotted with dark purple. Has a strange, other-worldly quality. Blooms in late summer and early fall. Grow in partial to full shade in average, well drained soil. Tolerant of drier soil conditons. Easy to grow and long-lived. Disease and pest free. I have some Toad Lilies in my garden that are 25 years old. HEIGHT: 50-60 cm SPREAD: 40-50 cm
