Upright, well-branched shrub which is native to Ontario. In the spring it produces masses of showy, creamy-white flower clusters followed by bluish-black fruit which is attractive to birds. Shiny, dark green foliage turns yellow and then reddish-purple in autumn. Easily grown in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-drained soil. Prune immediately after flowering.
