Proven Winners ColorChoice shrub. Improved version of Midnight Wine. This miniature has darker, burgundy-purple foliage which is also shiner. Covered with masses of hot rose-pink, funnel-shaped blooms in the spring. Will continue to bloom sporadically throughout the summer and fall. Best flower production in full sun and moist, well-drained soils but will tolerate partial shade. A magnet for hummingbirds. To promote the best flower production prune in early spring and remove spent flowers during the summer. Small size makes it perfect for the border, smaller gardens and even containers.
