This very showy shrub may have you swooning with delight. Produces mass of deep, rich, red, funnel-shaped blooms throughout the summer and right into the fall. Dark green foliage is a wonderful contrast to the vivid blooms. Best flower production in full sun and moist, well-drained soils but will tolerate partial shade. A magnet for hummingbirds. To promote the best flower production prune in early spring and remove spent flowers during the summer. Excellent upright, rounded form. Great for mid-border, grown as a specimen or even as a hedge.
